Every package shows its SHA-256 above. Compute the hash of the file you downloaded and compare the two values — if they differ, do not install it.

Those builds are not offered. The desktop apps ship only for Apple Silicon, 64-bit x64 Windows and 64-bit x64 Linux; on other machines, use the phone or tablet app instead.
Any 64-bit x86 distribution with GTK 3. The system-proxy switch relies on GNOME settings; on other desktops the app still works in TUN mode.
